The blend may reduce the risk of certain cancers, including breast and prostate. It may reduce bone loss and decrease load on the kidneys. It is a complete protein source supplying all amino acids required by the human body. The FDA has concluded that the 25 grams of soy protein per day included in each serving, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, reduces the risk of coronary heart disease.

Fibersol 2: Fibersol 2 is a digestion-resistant maltodextrin. This special fiber acts in the body as both soluble and insoluble fiber to help: hasten movement of food through the digestive track, support normal weight, improve insulin sensitivity, normalize high estrogen levels; slow absorption of carbohydrates; bind toxins, encourage beneficial bacteria, and provide a feeling of fullness.

Vitamins: Vitamins are required for many body processes to work properly. This includes the conversion of food into energy. The amounts contained in ATN are based on Optimum Daily Intake (ODI) rather than the common Required Daily Allowance (RDA). The goal of the RDA level is to prevent vitamin deficiency disease such as scurvy. The goal of the ODI is to promote optimum health.

Vitamin A: Vitamin A is a leading antioxidant required for normal vision, producing a health baby, and proper immune function. High doses may increase insulin sensitivity and good cholesterol levels. Natural Beta Carotene is converted to Vitamin A only in the amounts required by the body.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is an antioxidant the works together with Vitamin E and A. The body does not make Vitamin C. It is an antioxidant that slows glucose damage and bolsters the immune system. It helps prevent cataracts, reduce cholesterol, and limit blood vessel damage. High doses are reported to help normalize glucose control. It is cancer preventative and helps escort toxins out of the body.

Vitamin D: Vitamin D is required for proper insulin and glucose processing. It is important in using calcium and phosphorus, bone and tooth development, heart rhythm regulation and muscle strength, prevention of breast and colon cancer, and immune system function. People taking oral contraceptives, estrogen, cortisone, or antidepressants may have an increased need for B6.

Vitamin B12–Methylcobalamin: Vitamin B12–Methylcobalamin helps the body build proteins, use iron, and convert fats and carbohydrates into energy. It maintains normal DNA, and promotes healthy sleep patterns and fertility. Strict vegetarians may lack required levels of B12 as it is lacking in non-animal foods. The body must convert other forms of B12 to our methyl form before it is effective. Some people do not make this conversion well enough.

Folate-Folic Acid:  Folate-Folic Acid is used to create DNA and support normal development and growth of the nervous system. Vitamin B12 and folate work together for heart health. Women on oral contraceptives may need increased folic acid. Adequate folic acid is required for normal fetal development.

Biotin: Biotin supports the function of other B vitamins. It is important for cell growth, converting food into energy, healthy bone marrow, skin, bones, nerves and hair. Saccharin and some antibiotics reduce ability to absorb and use biotin. SACCHARIN AND ANTIBIOTICS ARE NOT IN OUR PRODUCTS.

Calcium: Calcium is required for strong bones and teeth, muscle function including preventing cramping, normal blood pressure and clotting, and DNA and RNA creation. It helps prevent colon cancer and is important in nerve transmission. Calcium absorption can be reduced by excess intake of carbonated beverages. Kidney stones can result from excess calcium intake.

Iron: Iron is required for carrying oxygen in the blood, for energy production, in supporting the immune system, and for growth. It is also used to create many enzymes throughout the body. Iron absorption requires many different vitamins and mineral such as Vitamin A, several B vitamins, and Vitamin C. Copper, manganese, and molybdenum are necessary as well as adequate stomach acid.

Phosphorus: Phosphorus is used in energy production for proper heart and kidney health, and for producing new cells throughout the body. It works to keep the body at the proper level of acidity. It should be combined with magnesium and calcium and consumed in balanced amounts.

Iodine: Iodine effects thyroid function, making it very important for proper conversion of food into energy. Lack of iodine has been associated with breast cancer.

Magnesium: Magnesium has many uses in the body including energy production, eye health, calcium and phosphorous absorption, nerve function, heart health, and proper working of other muscles. It is directly involved in the production and release of insulin, and for the sensitivity of cells to insulin.

Zinc: Zinc is directly involved in regulating glucose, insulin and therefore body weight. Zinc deficiency is associated with obesity. It is used to make insulin. It is also important for prostate health, wound healing, the sense of smell and taste, healthy reproductive organs, and for helping the body use vitamins A and E. Zinc is required to create the feeling of fullness after a meal.

Selenium: Selenium enhances the function of vitamin E and is an important antioxidant by itself. It assists in thyroid, pancreas and heart function, enhances the immune system, and helps recycle Vitamin C. Selenium appears to be protective against heart disease.

Copper: Copper is used for bone creation, making hemoglobin to carry oxygen in the blood, bone, joint and nerve health, skin integrity, skin and hair pigmentation, and in energy production. Balanced copper intake is important as excesses can cause free radical activity.

Manganese: Manganese is important for glucose regulation, for energy production, nerve health, bone and connective tissue creation, and reproductive health and lactation. It helps the body use vitamins B1 and E.

Chromium: Chromium is also known as Glucose Tolerance Factor (GFT). The body cannot use glucose properly without adequate levels of chromium present. Up to 90% of American diets are reported to be lacking proper chromium levels.

Chloride -sourced from sodium chloride-(table salt): Chloride is essential for life in correct amounts.

Acetyl L Carnitine: Acetyl L Carnitine has been shown in studies to boost the ability of individual cells in the body to convert glucose into energy. This is especially important for brain cells. It has been shown useful in supporting memory function and moderating both depression and dementia.

N-Acetyl Cysteine: N-Acetyl Cysteine is a powerful antioxidant.. It is also used to make Glutathione which combines with selenium to make another powerful antioxidant. It is know to be protective of the liver, and is a natural expectorant. It has been shown useful in improving symptoms in a host of neurological conditions

Blueberry Leaf Extract: Blueberry Leaf Extract is a source for Chlorogenic Acid and Hydroxycinnamic Acid which help maintain glucose levels, lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and fats in the blood (triglycerides). Chlorogenic Acid is also known to be anti-bacterial and anti viral and is an effective antioxidant.

Grape Seed Extract: Grape Seed Extract concentrates naturally occurring oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) which are powerful antioxidants. They also support collagen and elastin. These are two critical components of skin health and appearance, connective tissue, blood vessels and muscle. OPCs are useful in reducing the effects of allergies as a natural anti-histamine. OPCs also help improve circulation down to the smallest blood vessels, which provide nutrition to cells and remove waste.
